Friday, October 24 - The Tisch Gala 2003, a sold-out event, was held at the new 800-seat Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Guests were dazzled by celebrities, special musical and comedy performances. The evening netted over $500,000 for Tisch scholarships.

Star Alec Baldwin surprised the audience with a cameo appearance at the top of the show. He was followed by Tisch students who performed a tribute to Clive Davis filled with song and dance in gratitude for founding the new Clive Davis Recorded Music Department. Clive Davis, in turn, surprised the audience with a guest performance by Wyclef Jean, the bestselling hip-hop singer/songwriter. Finally, the inimitable Bill Cosby, in his fifth and final performance for Tisch, delighted the audience with an original comic solo routine.

Following the show, 350 alumni, parents, faculty, students and cast members headed to a reception at the Kimmel Center Marketplace Café, while 350 donors and Tisch supporters dined in the elegant Rosenthal Pavilion overlooking Washington Square Park.
