The Tisch Legacy Scholarship Fund provides an opportunity for those to make a difference in the life of a student. A minimum gift of $1,500 will provide support to a Tisch student for one year. The gift will be used by a student that the Tisch financial aid office deems best qualifies to receive an award for financial and academic reasons. Donors will receive a letter from the student within the same year of the award being made.
As an example, Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Donor would like to celebrate the graduation of their daughter. The family makes a gift of $1,500 in June and requests that "their scholar" be known as the John Q. Donor Family Scholar. In the fall of the same year, the Tisch financial aid office deems that David P. Student meets the financial and academic standards to receive an award. David is notifed that he has received an award of $1,500 to defer his tuition. In appreciation of this gift, a note from David is forwarded to the John Q. Donor Family. David includes an update of his current studies and a sample of applicable student work.
