The Tisch School celebrated Dean Mary Schmidt Campbell's 20 years of leadership on April 19th, 2012. The event, held at New York's Marriott Marquis, featured luminaries Martin Scorsese, Alec Baldwin, Brett Ratner, Spike Lee, Clive Davis, Michael C Hall, Bill Paxton and Tony Kushner on-hand to honor Dean Campbell. NYU President John Sexton, Sharon Chang and Dr. George Campbell also stepped to the podium. The gala, Ordinary Miraculous, Celebrating Vision, was directed by Bill Castellino and included live performances by some of Broadway's Tisch alumni along with a group of current Tisch students. The Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) dazzled guests with innovative digital and musical works, including the Big Screens Show which was featured throughout the dinner. Gala guests, students, faculty and friends kept the fun going at the after party featuring a DJ and photo booth. With an attendance of 550 people, the event raised more than $1.4 million.
