Dean's Council member Iris Cantor has established a permanent scholarship fund with a generous gift from the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor foundation. In announcing the scholarship Iris notes, "For over ten years we have been active supporters of the Tisch School of the Arts and its mission. It gives me great pleasure to establish a fund that will help talented students with financial need." Scholarship support is the top need identified in the Campaign for Tisch, and permanent funds like this one will allow the school to continue to attract top scholar artists in the U.S. Earlier gifts from the Cantor Foundation established the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Film Center and the popular student hang-out, Faye's Cafe, named in honor of Iris's late mother.
